I am hoping that someone else has had and solved this problem...
When playing fallout 2 I get frequent crashes to black screen, bringing up the task manager shows a GOG Crash window but I cannot view it and have to kill the error window and Fallout 2 using the task manager.
The strange thing is that I had no problems at all with Fallout 1.
Details:
Win XP
Fallout 2 with High Resolution patch installed (running at 1024x768, 16 bit colour)
the only difference was with Fallout I had to rename the ddraw.dll file to get it to run.

Yes i'm getting it too fairly often.. seems to happen at random.

I've been getting crashes where my screen gets all of these rainbowy lines and then when it crashes, it pretty much makes Vista crash. All I get is a blank blue screen and the only option I have is to restart my computer.

Has anyone else found any fix for this?? Because i am having the exact same problem with Fallout Tactics. Tried running as admin, compat 95/98, 256 colours, 16 colour bit mode, 800x600, etc etc etc...
Let me clarify, it isn't the rainbow palette issues (ie - the resolution screen fix), this brings up vertical lines with rainbow pixels. Trying to alt tab, quit the game or anything else causes the screen to go blank blue (no error details). Can't get a screenie, because i can't do anything bar reset my computer. On a side note - the game still runs, it doesn't freeze as such it's just unplayable... and i cant quit obviously...
