Spoilers ahead for anyone who is not done with Fallout 1.

So I went into the glow and screwed up royally. I took the rad-x pills, two of em, but I spent too much time inside. I read all the books and played chess with the computer -_-

Now my radiation levels are over 1000, and if I try moving one square out of the Glow I'm dead meat. I took 3 radaways, no help. It took me down to 400 rads but I still die instantly. I have combat armor, 56hp, stimpacks out the yin-yang, but all no help. Also I rewrote my save file, so I can't backtrack.

Basically if there's no obvious solution that I'm missing, I will resort to duplication glitches to give me more radaway. I reaaaally don't want to do the whole game again just for one screw up. I've heard that there is a save glitch that duplicates items, can anyone explain? I'm no cheater but in a single player game I would rather cheat than not get to play the rest.

Thanks.

read this: http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9377&highlight=
than use the link to files that leads to: http://www.atomicgamer.com/files/28735/f1-falled-zip
for an editor.

And pls save...save with different files....save often....very often......the game is bugged so you should save.
Read the forum and took some advice. Chugged down 3 radaways, 2 stimpacks, and 3 Buffouts. Drugs FTW. I did it finally, thank you so much.

EDIT: Also I have learned my lesson and will be using all 10 save slots.

lol good call. You definitely want to always use all 10 slots in Fallout.
I normally cycle through three slots. That's always been enough, except for the first time I played Fallout 2. I had sex with Mrs. Bishop, then used the three saves looting the safes. Got in a fight with Mr. Bishop, then had to fight my way out of the casino. To top it off, I got hit the bug where your NPCs don't reappear. Took me three tries to survive the second floor and eight tries on the ground floor. Finally, with some judicious use of Jet and Psycho, I was able to live long enough to retreat back behind the stage so I had a choke point to defend.

Heh, I guarantee you're not the first one to be suckered by that little trap. I love it.

I make a save at the beginning of every new town, one when I think I'm about half through, then cycle between 2 or 3 as I go along. I really enjoyed New Reno.. I was able to wipe out the Salvatores from the top down, then I betrayed Mr. Bishop by waiting till I had enough guns/hp and stormed the casino head on. Best fight in Fallout 2 so far. Soon I shall take down the Mordino family >:D

Just as a teaser for you, I will mention that it is technically possible to become a member of every single one of the crime families during the course of a single game.
