Ok, I have gone to the Fallout 1 Semi-Official 1.2.1 Patch. Now, I know the earlier version of Fallout 1 had a 150 Day Time Limit for the Water Chip then 500 days to defeat mutant. From what I heard a later version had a 150 Day... then 13 year time limit.

What does the 1.2.1 Patch have over a newly downloaded GOG Installation?

The 13-year time limit is from Fallout 2. The time limit in Fallout 1 is always 150 days for the water chip quest and 500 days overall, with or without the patch. In any case, the time limit is long enough that you can basically ignore it.

Uh. I am pretty sure there is no limit in later patches for Fallout 1. I have seen it said so on multiple game guides, a reliable wiki (The Vault) and a few other places. I was making sure however.
Indeed, that is odd. I could swear I remember playing my copy of Fallout 1 on disk for years in-game. For no especially good reason. I spent most of the time seeking manti by accepting merc jobs for Crimson Caravan trips.

Sorry, you are right about the overall 500 day time limit. That limit was patched out in Fallout v1.1 apparently. The initial 150 day limit for the water chip is still present, however. Since the GOG version of the game is already patched to v1.2 (UK version), the semi-official patch changes nothing about the time limits. The 13 year limit exists in Fallout 2 only.
