As I did here with NWN2: Mask of the Betrayer before, I have now done again with the Fallout 1 soundtrack; I went through the entire OST and corrected it. If you download the GoG-version from your game library you might notice that only one of the track names and none of the track numbers are correct when you compare them to tracklists on the internet . I don't know where GoG got their mp3 tags from but it's a mess.
I've taken the correct track names and numbers from the Fallout-Wiki and a picture of the official, real, physical Fallout OST CD.
I've uploaded a zip-file here that contains two separate files. First a file called "Fallout 1 tags.html" (a simple html file with a list of all the files with their tags) and secondly a file called "Fallout 1 tags.txt" (a text file with the tags). Both were automatically made by MP3Tag and are virus free. To use the tags do the following:
1. unzip your downloaded soundtrack and open the directory with MP3Tag. Sort the files in alphabetical order. (01 Maybe, 02 Vault 13, 03 World map, etc.)
2. Mark all files in MP3Tag and click on CONVERT --> text file - tag
3. In the window that opens browse to the "Fallout 1 tags.txt" file and copy and paste this
%title% - %artist% - %album% - %year% - %track% - %genre% - %comment% - %composer%
into the Format string field and hit OK.
4. After that's done, you can use MP3Tag to automatically rename the files with their correct names and track numbers and of course adjust the tags you want.
Happy tagging and all that.
