Well, just bought a copy of the gog FO2 and installed the Hi-Res and Killaps unofficial patch and gave it a run again.
In my game, i have tons of weapon where i got no where to sell. Every NPC that will barter with me will only have a maximum of 300+ cash and some even worst. No cash at all. So my concern is how do i make money in FO2?
Also where is a good place for me to purchase Ammo and decent armor.
Any advise is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
get a high gamble skill and go to the casino!
I dont have enough gambling skill and the gambling system is kind of boring to me. lol
The problem that i have is just that i have tons of weapon that i need to dispose off for cash or a vendor that can have enough ammo for sales.
go to San Francisco or NCR. There are the best shops. In SF, you go, sell stuff, wait for some days (wander on wasteland) and than go back. Shoppers will have new cash and stuff.
In the early game you can hit Redding. There's a guy in the Casino that has the sole job of having a bunch (about 1k) money and trading it for items.
You can turn some weapons and gear into caps by visiting the Den, there's a few traders there. NCR is better, as there are two retailers with quite a bit of money.
SF is the last city you are likely to visit in the game if you follow a normal walk though, and has the best vendors. It's also the only place you find power armor for sale.
You can turn stuff into cash in New Reno, but it's a pain. There is a lot of running around involved.

That's where I sold all my stuff and ended up with way too much money. Especially when you try to stock up on Gauss Rifles, Power Armors, etc.
The trick is to sell your crap for what you want with only a little money in return as opposed to trying to make a bunch of money that you'll just spend later on stuff you'd trade for.
Thanks for the tips. Wasn't aware that the NPC will refresh their inventory after a few game days. :)
Now i'm cool. Thanks for all the tips. :)
