Hi, I'm having a problem where the game hard crashes everytime I try to start a new game. I press the New Game button, it tries to load, and then immediately throws me back to the desktop with the game closed. Is this a common problem? Is there a known fix for it? I'm using Windows 10 on a laptop here.

Oh, sorry. I got here from the game's page, so I thought it was specific. I'm having this issue on Fallout 3.

You should try running the fallout.exe in admin mode or with the troubleshoot compatability (people suggest SP2 or SP3). If not this mod should help https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/17209/]
However, this isn't a guranteed fix as with the situation I am in.

Edit: Turns out the mod does work, I was just following the instructions incorrectly. Hope this was helpful in any way to anyone.
