When I step on a green exit grid, the game freezes at the loading screen (Fallout 2), can someone help? This problem has recently occurred.

I'm afraid that you need to load a save for another city and repeat the crashing one entirely again.
Yeah, the save was corrupted.
I wonder if this is the same problem as I just faced today?

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/The_Nearly_Ultimate_Fallout_2_Guide#The_too_many_items_bug

In San Fransisco, when I try to get back to Chinatown from the tanker, the game freezes hard.

Luckily I have an old save game just before talking to those "hubogolist celebrities" and receiving a holodisk from them after telling them I will join the cult, and adding that holodisk to pipboy. I guess I need to restart from that point, say no to joining the cult, and maybe go drop away somewhere else (not San Fransisco, or at least the Chinatown) all the existing holodisk and old quest items that I still have.

If I merely have the oil rig to visit anymore, do I need any old holodisks there? Or can I safely scrap them to somewhere else?

Does anyone know if Killap or somesuch fix this bug? I'm kicking myself to the head that I didn't install that Killap patch before starting to play FO2...
