We CAN make fallout 3 a fun-ish game, but mods are a MUST. I'm going to give all-yall a list of my favorites.
How to mod-
Step 1. Download Fallout 3 Mod Manager and ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated here-

Step 2. Download any mods you may wish to use
Step 3. Extract all mod files to your fallout 3 data file
Step 4. Go to the mod manager and order the mods in the order that you want the files to load (some files must load before others to work, just read the instillation readme that comes with it.)
Step 5. Check all the mods you want to run.
Step 6. Have fun with your improved-FO3

FOOK just adds SO much the game, hundreds of weapons, new quests locations, everything you could hope for.

Just like Oblivion, adds hundreds of different textures per creature, entirely new creatures, control spawning, different sizes per-animal.

Hard to explain, just read the description. This one's optional, just adds some weapon diversity.
