Like the title says, I'm getting a crash in the exact same spot and location in the second level of the Military Base. I go into the room with all the enemies just a ways south past the elevator, fight them all, then the battles ends. Then it crashes a few seconds later while I'm panning the screen around or looting the bodies. It's done this to me about three times now, and I'm not sure what's causing it. The game has never crashed on me before now.
It's also unpatched/modded, so I guess that's what.. Vanilla Fallout? The one that comes right here off the site, Version 1.2.

Weird.
Can you please upload your save somewhere, (Rapidshare, Megaupload) to see if the same thing happens here? (I'm using sfall, and children patch)

I have played around in the Fallout Editors F1se and FALCHE, so my stats/perks are not quite normal. But I've been playing with my character like that for a while now and if that was it, surely it would have happened sooner. The Military Base and the Cathedral are the only two places I've yet to finish exploring. You'd think the problem would have shown up sooner.
Also, I included Save 3 and Save 5, because I can't remember which one is which. For some reason, Save 5 has started crashing F1se, but that could be because I have Imagine (an MMO) open at the moment.

Did you save at any point DURING the fight? Saving and loading during battle is possible but sometimes causes glitches, as I recall...

Yes, actually. I save all the time during fights. That's why I have a Random Encounter save just for such purposes, but sometimes I save in a second slot as well, if it's a long fight. Like the one with the Regulators. Never have had such an occurance before. That's the main reason it's boggling my mind, since I can't figure out why.

I think I know why you were getting errors:
You really shouldn't save in the middle of a combat, 'cause sooner or later, a bug will happen.
I say that because, I constantly saved Fallout 2 some months ago, even in combat mode. But I discovered with Timeslip that if you save while you're fighting, some bugs may happen.
This probably isn't different in Fallout 1.
Edit: Just to say that your save 5 (Random encounter save) is crashing here, so it's not MMO fault (screenshot below)

You have my undying gratitude for getting me out of that crashing loop I'd been stuck in. Thank you ever so much! As for saving in Combat, I will do my best to not save in combat anymore unless I think it's an emergency and I have another non-combat save to fall back onto.
As for the unloadable save, I have removed it. I'm not in the vats and proceeding without problem.
