AVATAR:/_t2 #Q&_^Q&Q#USERNAME:saurey#Q&_^Q&Q#GROUP:4Is this site for real? Big mistake adding all the fake comments. I still might buy a game or 2, but bad move.

Just go away...

RafaelLopez: Can anyone clarify this?

sweenish: you need to play portal. NOW

I should look into it. This game is highly unknown down here -- none of my friends knew about it, and I had never heard of it before. 0.o
I wonder why he even bothered to post.........
Some people are so odd.
There. Is. No. Spoon.
Let me address the idea that peole have been playing these games for years. Often the people that bought said games back in the 90's/early 21st cent have lost the game disks, or they are scratched up, or people borrowed them. Of course Operating systems change during the time period and even if people own the game, often they don't work well or at all on the new OS. Which GOG has done is guaranteed the games to work on modern computers with relatively no fuss and no muss. They also have set up a place to store your games (On their servers) So if you want to download it again, you can. There is no digital rights management so you can put it on whatever PC you want, not even a "client" based type of DRM like Steam. Plus they add extras to most of the games in the form of soundtracks, wallpapers, manuals, avatars, and more. They have also created a robust website with an active forum that fans of older games can come and hang out. GOG has sought out a wide variety of games you might have heard of or not; but there is a large selection that is being added to every week.
And no game (so far) is over 10 bucks with a good portion of them coming in at 6 dollars.
Of course this means that all the comments are fake and people really do not want any of this, therefore there must be a dedicated person maning the forums that spends at least 8 hours a day writing nothing but forum posts and game reviews. However, since this is all fake and GOG.com isn't really making any money off of old games it means this site will not be up for very much longer.
....right?
And yes, the cake is a lie HAHAHAHA
"and now a super important public service announcement: Don't feed the trolls"
Trolls are fun though...
i was looking what other people have to say about GOG on their sites, and i found this in comments
"If you look at all the comments on their site for products, they are all fake. Also, if someone was disappointed, why is their review showing 4 out of 5 stars? WTF
Might have a great product, but that’s bad business hyping up your kool-aid. They are so fake some are hilarious."

I have issues with some games (Gothic for example. It has a control scheme you have to get "used to") Yet I think it is a very good game despite those issues. Even the great and mighty fallout 1 and 2 (May they live forever!) has issues...but a good game can overcome the issues. The majority of games GOG has put out have been very good games that people like: Hence the 4 and 5 star ratings.
This guy probably thinks the moon landing was fake as well, heh.

Gothic 2 + expansion. Brilliant game. I spend many hours chained to the computer when i played it. It beats the competition, like Morrowind, easy. One of my few favorite RPG's
but you have to get used to controls, which i neved managed :(
Well if your talking about Gothic and not Gothic 2, I put up my frustations with the controls in the Gothic forums. They actually helped me figure it out and now I have a workable solution.
I like the game, but still am annoyed at the control scheme, heh.

That's why I never touched Gothic 1. Because of the controls. Gothic 2 has an option to change the controls and play with mouse only. It plays just like any other game, for example Morrowind
i got problems mainly with fighting, never managed to attack and defend in right moment :)

You know, if I had bought Gothic for 50 bucks I would have been *really* upset. But since I got it for six and there is a big group of people here at GOG saying that there is a good game underneath, I decided to give it a try. Sometimes you have to dig through a pile of crap (or bad controls) to find the gem underneath :D
I have to grab gothic 2 at some point.
One thing about all our comments here, bringing the subject back around to the topic, is that none of them are fake. All of our comments about Gothic are real: anyone that reads this and other threads can see that, I think.
