I just wanted to add my say to the bunch.
Despite the bugs, minor loose ends and, yes, patchy gameplay, Fallout 2 is easily one of the best games ever made.
If you haven't played this game, you ought to.
The atmosphere is enthralling, and the retro-futurist theme has never been surpassed in its ability to simultaneously amuse and to provide all the extra details to convince the player he is immersed in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
