was playing fallout 2 for the first time, i just got to the big boat, i put the module just after i kill all the aliens, after that i save the lady in black dress, i say to the dude upstairs that i'll find his spleen and then i head out of the boat, fine till now, in on the docks and i wanna head back to chinatown...PROBLEM...as soon as i enter the loading screen icon (the insterplay globe) appears and it never goes away, the screen remains black eventhough i can still see the menu down...but the game never continues !!?! :(... help...im in a pickle and i really wanna finish the game :(:(

PS...just found out that it has nothing to do with the quest done in the boat, it just won't go back in chinatown!!!

Illogically enough this may be due to sound acceleration.
You can try this.
Open DXDIAG (Run > dxdiag). Go to the sound tab. Around the middle of that window there should be a slider you can use to adjust your sound acceleration. Try lowering it or setting it to 'None', then play and see if that fixes it.
Once you're done playing you should put your sound acceleration back up to full.
