Love the game, love the site, have a Bunch of Questions:
I read on a wiki that AP ammo is inferior due to a mistake in the design. Is this still true in the base GOG version? I assume the weapon / armor patch fixes it.
I've been playing for a bit and I've decided to start a new character. I missed a bunch of quests because I didn't realize how to explore all areas of the towns until I got to the HUB. I mistook the exits to the other sections as the regular exit grid. So I never even saw most of Junktown (I thought it sucked because there was hardly anything there...)
I'm going with two combat tag skills and looking for a non-combat one. What's the most fun and useful to have? Speech, Steal, Barter, something else?
What effect does Bloody Mess actually have? Do you just get more bloody animations in combat? Or does more damage actually get dealt? More crits? It seems like it's pointless to take that Trait if you already have the gore setting turned up.
Why does Caleb say to go Southwest when The Glow is Southeast of the Brotherhood?

yeah, that happens, but you actually can go back and do those quests even if you did go to the hub pretty quickly.

Either Lock Picking or Gamble, if you have over 51 gamble, you can pretty much talk to a dealer and hold 4 and 1 down and then like, watch a movie or something, and then you'll have thousands of bottle caps, you'll be filthy stinking rich. And use that with the library in the hub, you can up your repair, science, gun, or outdoors man skills pretty easy.

The most significant change, actually occurs in the ending. I won't give it away, but many players agree that this changed ending, is much more satisfying.

dunno, did you try going southwest?
Weclock:
When I tried going Southwest of the Brotherhood, I quickly dead-ended against the coast. There was nothing there. I suspected Caleb was referring to the Glow, because he mentioned radiation. I knew that the Glow was to the Southeast because someone had told me about it and put it on my Map.
Someday I may have to use the mutate perk on a character to see the bloody mess end.
No clue, could be wrong, I know that the fan made 1.3 patch fixes some dialogue errors, I also know that sometimes I can suffer from dislexia in a game and misread things.. maybe I'm not the only one, maybe you're right, either way, not that big of a deal, it's not something GoG.com would be able to fix.
No worries. The first time I played through, I was interested in joining the brotherhood, because I deduced it was the way to get the cool armor and guns. But when the directions from Caleb didn't seem to match the Map, I was annoyed. I didn't want to hike all the way to the Glow to complete a quest if it might not be the right place. The Glow is really far away, a looooong trip.

oh, hahaha, I see what happened.
Yeah, Caleb from the brother hood told you the wrong directions on purpose. The Brotherhood of Steel has been sending people to their impending doom, they don't really want any new members. I don't know if you had this option, but you can ask him 'did you have to do a trial?' or soemthing like that and he replies 'nonya' basically.

Yeah, I remember that Caleb admits to not having to do a quest. And the other guy is shocked that they're sending me there. I was too dense to suspect that they were trying to give me the brush off. I figured, I'm the hero of this story, I can handle anything!
Although the first time I tried the Glow, the radiation fried me, because I didn't bring enough drugs...
