I installed it, everything looks fine. I press "new game", game starting to load and freezes. Any ideas why?

it seemed like an infinite load for me, alt-tabbed out and back in and the intro video started playing then and there.

Yes. Intro is playing all the time, game is not starting.

Same issue.

For troubleshooting:

1. Installed Fallout 4 from the stand-alone offline installer (edit: Version 1.10.163.0) on my C drive.
2. Installed Fallout: London from the stand-alone offline installer on my C drive.
3. Chose "Install" on FO: London's pop-up, and waited for the patcher to do its thing.
4. Game launches, no problems so far. I can change key binds, the videos play, sound is working.
5. I click "New Game", get a short loading screen, what I assume to be the intro movie starts playing.
6. About 2-3 seconds later, the movie stops, sound stops.
7. I can tab out (after which the screen is black), I can switch applications - but I cannot terminate the exe through either Alt+F4, or the task manager because it keeps itself in the foreground.
8. The only way to actually close down FOLON is to restart my rig, even though the only thing that even seems semi-crashed is Fallout 4's exe.

Additional info that may or may not be helpful: I play on Win10 with a dual monitor setup.


edit: Found a work-around: Hammering the Skip button (default T) gets me into character generation. Hopefully smooth sailing from here.

I did it, I deleted all files inside it. No luck :/

I get the test pattern screen, then I get dumped to desktop.

Mine worked fine about half an hour ago then crashed suddenly. Since then I get to the part where it says either update or launch the game and no further. Wont launch at all regardless of what I do.

Not working for me. Fresh install both F4 and FOLO. Steam save folder renamed. New save folder created correctly. Freezes at intro video after launch new game.

I can't get this to work either. I'm currently repairing Fallout 4 and will verify Fallout: London before trying to install again. A command window briefly pops up, and I see the Fallout 4 exe in the Task Manager, and then it seems to crash.
EDITED TO ADD: I bought Fallout 4 fresh for this from GoG specifically to avoid this kind of issue. Really disappointed that it didn't work.

Having this issue as well, even bought GOG version after steam version kept failing to run (Infinite loading screen on new game).
Downloaded someone's save from the lab 3 min in and that just crashes to desktop.
Have no old saves available to the GOG version, have GOG version installed to a different drive, followed the install closely the last time (after buying GOG version, was in the weeds for the first 6hr of attempting to install)

I really wish there was a Vortex compatible version, I probably corrupted most of my old characters trying to get this thing to run.

As soon as I hit hit "New" it goes into a loading screen with all these scenes from the game but it just keeps playing stock footage video, it never goes into character creation.
