I sold all my Molotov cocktails, because they wouldn't show when I tried to equip them. I assigned them a favorite slot. Every time I would try to use it would show the switchblade, which was assigned to slot 1. Kind of frustrating when being attacked by several people.
Kind of a shame, when everything in this game is stacked against you.

Erm, you never see equipped grenades or mines and such stuff in fallout 4, it simply gets thrown/layed by a different key (standard alt-key) while having your main weapon equipped (or nothing).

Well it seems your right. I have a Vault Dweller's Survival Guide, that I dug up. So you can actually throw one while you have another weapon equipped.
So thanks for the tip.
