hi, i have Fallen Enchantress
min req: (gog)
Processor: 2.2 GHz Dual-Core Processor CHECK
Memory: 2 GB RAM 8 GB check
Graphics: 512 MB DirectX 9.0c Compliant Video Card w/Pixel Shader 2.0 (Radeon x1600 / GeForce 6800 or better)
--> this gpu is older then my GTS 250 1 gb ram so according to the internet its faster
DirectX 9.0c
Hard Drive: 5 GB Space
DirectX 9.0c Compatible Sound Card
Mouse, Keyboard
recommended (source: steam)
Recommended:
Processor:2.2 GHz Dual-Core Processor
Memory:2 GB RAM
Graphics:256 MB DirectX 9.0c Compliant Video Card w/Pixel Shader 2.0 (Radeon X3800 / GeForce 7900)
when searching for : GeForce 7900
it gives this one: 7900 GS ( i cant find 7900) so i assume this is the same
When i compare these to my GTS 250 (gpu.userbenchmark.com claims my GPU card is better)
UserBenchmark: Nvidia GeForce GTS 250 vs GeForce 7900 GS
Effective 3D Gaming GPU Speed: 8.7% vs 0.29%
Nvidia GeForce GTS 250 - 197th / 499
Nvidia GeForce 7900 GS - 463rd / 499
But i hear and see my pc 'struggling' with the game (cpu and gpu utilities show it) even at launch , so if the GTS 250 is indeed better then the recommended 7900 then why is the game so heavy for my pc?
My gts 250 makes a weird noise when running this game, as a matter a fact, 99% of unity games
i have seem to heat up my cpu and gpu, since its fall now the ambient temps are much lower so these are not to blame.
My quad core 2.67 from my i5 750 is also at 60 degrees celsius 59 on other cores, cpu usage is a t least 25 to 30% continously
Tj max is only 98 degrees celcius, is it wise to have this or any other unity game running for a long period of time at this speed an temperature?
At start of the game its already at 60degrees, normally its 34 tot 39 degrees celcius so thats quite a jump in temps.
Would it be safe to have this going on during a 1 or 2 hour gamesession ?
In the settings i set everything to the minimum, disabled lots of things, turned of sound, msuic, zooming but the pc is still strained.
When i close the game its back to normal almost instantly: 39degrees average compared to 60 or 64 degrees when running the game.
Celestian Tales - Old North also a unity game is only at 16-20% cpu
