This is really getting annoying. It's happened with several games so far. The default resolution is set to something ridiculously high that could only be displayed on a movie theater screen, and when I run the game, it says that it's out of scan range. Then I have to press the Windows key just to get out of it.
Normally I look for a settings file and change it there. Then if I can't find one, I go into the Windows registry and look for the settings and change it there.
I just tried to run The Fall, and it happened. I couldn't find a settings file, but I found the resolution in the registry. But when I changed it, and played the game, it still got the error, and when I looked back in the registry, it had reverted to default! I tried it several times and it keeps happening!!!
