I've tried and tried to get widescreen to work in Indigo Prophecy but there seems to be no solution other than horizontal stretch. Any chance there's been a new fix I'm not aware of? The Xbox version of the game was widescreen but for some reason it seems impossible to duplicate this on PC.
You could try this - http://widescreengamingforum.com/forum/5794/fahrenheit-indigo-prophecy?page=1#comment-124691

I didn't have the time to check if it works yet, might give it a try tomorrow.
Thank you very much, Rathori. That's the closest I've ever come to widescreen support in the game. I hex edited the EXE but unfortunately the picture is horizontally stretched.

I truly appreciate the advice though!
Well at least this solution allows us to get the 4:3 resolution that best suits the monitor. For me that would be 1400x1050 as my monitor has a native resolution of 1980x1080.

Thanks very much for that bit of advice, KajQrd! My monitor is 1680x1050 so I will give that resolution a shot!
I haven't tried it, but my experaince with other games is that if they don't offer the ratio you want, don't force it. Forcing a ratio usually distorts the image.

This confuses me as well, especially since the manual says there's an option for it.
this guy on youtube has a guide and also a link to download his edited file, but the file is only for 1920x1080. If you want another resolution, follow the tutorial video to make your own

I was looking for a widescreen fix too, until I found this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKnqoBRNgEM

Download link: http://www.mediafire.com/?2dnoom6gnv7z9g7

He says that his fix is for 1280x720/1360x768/1920x1080.

I hope it helps :D

Alright, I found something that may make it easier to find the FOV, I hex edited the GOG version, which required half the resolution number in one hex and the last half in the very next down the row. (I edited 1600x1200 for the best compatibility)

When you use ALT+ENTER it exits full screen, this GIVES FIXED FOV for 16:9 in 1920x1080!!!

Does anyone know how to implement this finding into revealing which hex is the HFOV and which is the VFOV to fix it for fullscreen?

I uploaded some pictures at the widescreen gaming forum if anyone is curious, this really is no joke, FOV is perma fixed but stuck out of fullscreen, with a blue bar across the top and it has to be realigned a bit for those F12's...

Heyyo,

Simplest and most effective way of adding widescreen in this game?

https://github.com/ThirteenAG/Widescreen_Fixes_Pack/releases/tag/fahrenheit

Just extract the three files into the main directory of the game and edit the .ini and change the x and y to your preferred resolution. Automatic aspect ratio fix too. :)

for example mine is:

[MAIN]
X=1920
Y=1080
@ThE_MarD Wow. I will test then this weekend. Thank you. Are you the programmer?
Working perfectly. Thank you!
