So with Fahrenheit now on GOG, what do you think the chances of Omikron being released are? Not sure who owns the rights to it though.
I would guess the rights are at Square Enix as Eidos published the game. However even if they managed to negotiate a publishing of the game I somehow doubt they'll get it working even remotely well in modern systems. It suffers from pretty much the same problems I get with Dungeon Keeper 2 when playing hardware accelerated. But this game is even worse than DK2 in software...
I came here to say the same thing. That game was a bitch to get running in Windows. I considered getting an old Windows 98 machine just to play this and some others.
i have an (unofficial) dvd version which runs fine on windows 7 64bit.
also have the original cds which i havent tried, but atleast it shows its possible to run it.
I've got it running too under Windows Vista and Seven 32bits. Only problem is that on ATi cards, there's a huge issue with a "buffer", which covers the screen with black squares in hardware, as mentionned by KajQrd.

I just wanted to say that I ran it with no issues that I can remember on my old computer (Vista 32), but I haven't tested it on my new W7 rig. I don't usually play games twice, but Omikron is one I've went through a few times since it came out. I still have the discs around here somewhere from when I first bought it back around when it released. Odd thing is, I'd probably repurchase it on GOG if it gets released, just to save the hassle of using the discs. :/ It wouldn't be the first game I still have hard copies of that I also bought on here xD

I just tried to find out who owns the rights to Omikron: The Nomad Soul, and came up with nothing.

It might help to know that, a few months ago, Indigo Prophecy was removed from Steam, and was on there being published by Atari, the original publishers. And now that Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy has been released on GOG, Quantic Dream is now both the developer and publisher, indicating that they may have acquired the rights to it now.

And I think there is a good chance that Omikron will get released on here, it works perfectly on my Windows 7 64-bit PC :)
Now that square enix are on board, the chances of getting Omikron are at least 63% higher. Give or take 12%
I've heard a lot about this game but have never played it.
There are not nearly enough games with David Bowie in them on GOG.
After playing Fahrenheit I'd be interested in getting Omikron if it appears on GOG.
I still have my Dreamcast version somewhere.. Definitely LOVED that game and i would sooo buy it again for PC with a solid debugging!
I would also like to see Omikron on GOG. Come on GOG you guys can work out a deal.
i wait for it!!
