Tried the first tutorial mission from the manual. Everything went well, when approaching the airfield, it says hit F9 to activate ILS. I hit that, but nothing happens. I don't get the ILS display on the HUD. I verified HUD is in nav mode and right MFD shows the correct airfield.

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious :)
