Hello all,

Just a head's up on F-117 and Windows 10. I'm running it on a pretty powerful gaming rig with Windows 10 and an Nvidia 960M graphics card and it runs like a dream with no tweaking involved.

It doesn't run in 16:9 resolution, but it fills most of my 1920x1080 screen and, despite the primitive graphics, is incredibly fun to play.

They just don't make games like this anymore. DCS is technically brilliant and an amazing achievement in hi-fidelity replications of modern aircraft, but playing those games just sucks the life from me.

If we could create more games like F-117 with modern graphics, it would send me into simming nirvana.
Hey,

Because the game is emulated through Dosbox it shouldn't have problems whatever the OS.
And I agree the '90s are where the fun flightsims are to be found, the ones coming out after that are with a few exceptions no fun at all.
Everyone,

This is my favorite flight sim ever so when I saw it here I brought it right away.

I have gone through the discussions but I am having some issues I cant fix.

Game plays fine in small window but how do I get to full screen or as close as possible

Joystick works fine for now but I would love throttle control (Logitech Extreme 3D Pro)

Playing in Dosbox .74

On an HP 15 Notebook PC running windows 10.

Any help would be appreciated!
I thought I would come back and comment in case anyone else could use the help with this game or dos box.

So ;

I have the game running perfectly now.

I went into the config file in dos box and set :

Joystick to auto

Display to open GLnb

Fullscreen to true

Fullscreen resolution to my visio 32in resolution 1920 X 1080 (I have this tv set up as a second monitor to my laptop using the hdmi slot) I'm currently using it as the output screen but I will figure out how to extend the screen and use it for the game and the built in for wworking or whatever. Imm sure I can do it but everytime I tried this weekend it crashed the game, probably because the display settigs change when I slide the game window onto the visio screen. Easy solution I'm sure.

I set auto lock to false

Oh yeah the best part...

I mapped:

The right twist function on the Extreme 3d pro to the minus key to decrease throttle

The left twist to the equals key to increase throttle

I will eventually map:

The 5 button to bay doors

Leave the space bar as weapons toggle

The 3 button to landing gear

Tab key to brakes

You get the picture...whatever feels comfortable.

Next I am going to try and emulate all of my Jane's Flight Sims into DOSBOX, I hope I can do it, initially my CD ROM wouldn't read the discs but that's another discussion topic I guess I will research.

By the way, I also used to play a really cool game called I think it was on xbox (Original Xbox called "Super Strike Eagle"

Anyone ever heard of that one, it was a lot of fun too.....
