I have just downloaded the aircraft id chart.
Today is the 9th of May Parade in Moscow, and a half of airplanes listed in chart are flying right above my house, so I have a good opportunity to compare.
Everything is fine except for 1 flaw. Images of MiG-23 "Flogger" and MiG-27 "Flogger" on page 6 are completely identical. Could you please replace the picture with the correct one?
Best Regards,
Vladimir Sokolov

Sadly those were the pictures that microprose originally did in 1991, based on available data at the time and or it was a mistake at the time, so its unlikely to get fixed in any way vlad, sorry about that comrade.

Initially I wanted to ask "Could you please go back to 1991 and replace the picture with the correct one?", but thought it was too much. Now it seems it is the only way...
But it's no problem. Back in 1991 I played this game without any chart at all and finally learned almost all aircrafts.
Thanks for prompt reply.

Pleasure to help Vlad, and if I could I would build a time machine but sadly I ran out of money.
Beside in the drawing of this quality and complexity they don't really differ that much.
For what it's worth, there are other mistakes in the aircraft description, probably due to incomplete knowledge of Russian aircraft at the time this (excellent) game was made.

Some examples:

- The Il-76 is not an AWACS airplane, but a transport, and its NATO reporting name is "Candid", not "Mainstay". The actual AWACS plane is based on the Il-76, and its real name is A-50 "Mainstay".
- The Mig-31 "Foxhound" interceptor is a 2-seater, instead of a single-seater.
