Alright, so: I've been playing this game for several hours, and I love it, etc. But I have two (possibly related) issues: first, the game crashes every time I enter a specific battle (ambushing Esteban as he leaves the mine pit). I've looked at all the other relevant topics I could find, both on this forum and the game site's forum, and the main suggestion I've found to try to fix the issue is to turn down the video settings, particularly terrain quality. I've turned down the video settings to the absolute lowest they can go (no shadows, one-eighth terrain texture quality, the lowest water quality, no antialiasing, all that), but the game still crashes whenever I enter this battle. My computer's relatively old, and I only have 2GB of RAM, but this is still within the specs on the game's store page.

The second issue is that I cannot install the 1.5 patch, so my game is still at 1.4.5. The patch program simply freezes up and hangs whenever I run it. It claims to be finding the wrong versions of several game files, but I'm not sure how this is possible, unless the GOG version of the game is ALREADY patched to 1.5 without saying so. (It isn't: the game menu still says 1.4.5, and there is no German language option.)

That directory is where the game's installed, so the patch isn't attempting to patch to the wrong directory.
