So I installed the game, and on the "New Game" menu selection to the right - I noticed I could barely get my mouse to touch the right side of the button (there was a good inch of real estate that the game would not let me mouse over to). I figured this was perhaps design - hit new game, game starts with character creator on a female character - so I attempt to mouse to the left now, to change the gender and my mouse can't go that far - it's like there's a box that my mouse can't escape. :-)

EDIT: Interesting. Closing and reopening the game seems to have fixed it.

That happened to me the first time too, and never again after a restart.
