Patch 1.05 just hit Steam a few hours ago, when can we see it on Gog?
Right now ! :p
The Asleifr duel is too hard when playing as an archer. (normal difficulty but with equal health enabled)
anyone agree?

I can't say, as I've not played as an archer in 1.05, but they said they nerfed the wolves, yet my party (Char, Nefja, Kettil, Roskva, Eydis, Uncle Grimulfr and Torfinn) in Skjern Forest got summarily *destroyed* (one-hit kills, and near 100% knockdown) by the wolf pack. Still haven't beaten them yet, after trying umpteen times. I want to know what they mean by "nerfed"?

Edit: I want to add that I've played this game numerous times and I *know* how to deal with those wolves... normally!

Da ich mit Zenmate hier auf Arbeit keine neuen Topics erstellen kann :)

This is Feedback from my playthrough at the moment:
I waited long after release to actual start playing, forgot about the game and then was reminded in the German forum by someone playing it.

Now I am just about to kill/betray a king!

The character creation is overwhelming and you think OMG, what if I do anything wrong. What companions will I get to complement the group? This is good, I love games where you can make a plan which may turn out right or wrong. I was pretty much unspoilered at that point.
You get plenty of points and have plenty of skills to invest in, don't worry! Only the main attributes are important and pretty much self explanatory. After being well into the game, I watched some videos of older versions with no skillcap, since 1.0.5 you have to spread your skills a little to reach those 100, 175, 200 points and unlock the skills you really want on the character. It does make things more challenging but is also more forgiving, since you cannot really min/max anyway.

Then you go through the initial quests, which were pretty much without any choice. You get that 30 days time limit and I was so pissed, but then you really only need to make one long trip to visit all the places. It is not like Conquistador where you really shape and bond with your group during travelling (unfortunately?). This is made up for the possibility to talk to followers in the camp, the story ones and some even have quests (Bethesda style).
In the end I popped out and into town just to progress time a bit and build stuff in the stronghold.

There is no preparation for combat any more and you nearly never have the first move, I have yet to place any trap because how or when should I do this? During the move 5-6 hexes prep time you cannot do any action but just have a chance to get your people as far away from enemy archers (the only real threat in this game) as possible. Grunnar (Berserker) is a two hit for enemy archers with 100HP and was then injured for the remainder of the campaign, because it took ~120 medicine to heal him in one go or ~30 medicine every three days to keep him alive.

It would be nice to have some inn in every town where you could rest/camp and heal injuries or infections.

The music is great, but this is what all the reviews say. I like the gore with cut off limbs and so on. The couple sitting on the wall spending time together, the fact that you walk inside houses! All the little things :)
You nearly always have several options to deal with things. I just got some valuables stolen, caught the thief and now I can either get them to fence stuff for me, kill them or report them to the authorities.

The only event I remember during camping are the dream scenes, I do not know what that old man really wants. We will see, a really interesting thing but all my decisions were conscious and who is dead is dead!
Other events are not really that hmm, Reska has the most interesting ones or Grunnar who is able to pull himself out of the mud (I think it is a glitch because if you say let a hirdman help and choose him to help him, when the text says "Grunnar pulls Grunnar out of the mud" or something).

Only bug so far really (1.0.5): After I built the roads for my clan, I couldn't walk over them any more. Meaning I couldn't actual click on the new built roads to go there, but if I clicked next to them the characters would still walk over them.
Some glitch where the portraits had some white square in one corner, could have been a missing picture of a buff or something.
