This new "patch" turned the game almost unplayable. The Legion Battle became the worst component of the game. It makes ZERO sense and after playing two full acts, now all of a sudden i lose a commander every battle. No matter what i do, the "random" stratagems stake -8 across the board on category.

The story is good but the game mechanics are a complete joke. Kill the Legion battles.

IMO it's much better than before since it's doesn't feel completely random, but you have to at least keep an eye on the specializations, pick the right centurions and develop new stratagems. It doesn't really require much attending to.

If you see the effects in the specializations, it makes perfect sense. Losing the commander is due to a -12 in cavalry, -9 in Infantry or -12 in logistics - you probably have a weakness in one of those specializations. See if you can hire a centurion with the right perks to counter that.
