Steam has version 1.4.1, released on May 16. Fix list of:
• Fixed an issue with the Gladiator class failing to shred armor upon using Pilums (Pikes should not have the Armor Shred text or it'll be greyed out).
• Fixed an issue with Quests not being listed in the correct order in the Quest Log UI (this fix only applies to new playthroughs)
• Fixed an issue with "Army Experience" for enemy legions not being calculated correctly. This should also be resolved on existing save files.

There was a previous 1.4 hotfix, released in April that fixed some issues with the DLC.

Neither of these are on GOG yet. Are we going to get the fixes/patches, or is this yet another game on GOG that can't be bothered to keep up to date?

Yes, they stopped updating the game 2 months ago. I've tried to understand this too. I have contacted THQ Nordic and GOG. I never had any reply from THQ Nordic, and a very late and evasive reply from GOG (who of course refuse to refund). It's even more puzzling since there are GOG-specific bugs that the Steam users doesn't have.

I've also filled in a ticket with the support of the game, and they were evasive too:

"Hello

As of now the GOG version is not updated to the latest version, therefore those patches are not yet available on GOG. We will come back with further information.

Thank you for your information and have a wonderful day!"

(Sure enough, there never came back with more information, this was one month ago.)

It's sad that nobody really gives a damn about us. I used to like GOG, but it's not the first time I had this problem lately. Lesson learned, I guess.

And interestingly, Expeditions: Rome is on GOG's front page highlights. Not really a highlight in my opinion since we aren't getting updates right now.

Maybe you could contact the support of THQ Nordic and/or GOG, so that there are several of us showing our interest and dissatisfaction with the current situation. It only takes 2 minutes and the more of us do that, the greater chance of a response.

Done
I've done the same. I'm not holding my breath but they should react at some point.
Just found out about this issue, I've contacted both GOG and THQN (through Expeditions Discord). Waiting to hear from GOG support but the latest reply from THQN is that they are now aware of the issue & are "looking into it".

What the heck are they "looking at"?
Just patch the damn game!

I just found out about this issue and it has been already 2 months.

A little more than 3 months actually.

Don't hesitate to ask on Discord and to email directly to the support of THQ Nordic and GOG.

I still think that at some point they'll finally have to give in one way or the other. Either they admit there is a problem between THQ Nordic and GOG, or they finally tell us why else they won't update the game on GOG (but I can't think of another explanation).
They're still giving us the same completely lacking explanation 2.5 months since this update posted to Steam.

THQN rep on Expeditions Discord, August 1st: "For now THQN and the devs are still looking into what may have occured that caused a lack of updates to occur for GOG."

Yeah, I was really upset, I finally left their server on Discord. They are nice but entirely inefficient. I suppose there is only so much they can do, if the request is ignored further down the chain, it's not their fault.

Maybe Brad (the producer for Exp. Rome) would do something about it, I don't know. I don't think it's his responsibility at this point though.

PS: it's more like 4 months since the 1st patch was April 14th - it's just crazy when I think about it :D

Yeah - finally did an update. Nice that they pushed out the latest version now.
