I found some green "Fine Leather Boots" in a chest and can them wear under my black "Thick Leather Boots" i got from the corpse with the key on the table in act1.

Whenever i continue the storymode, the inventory gets erased from time to time, leaving me with my equipped items.
Even my compass vanished. Much fun in the level maze
