Hi guys,
Im experiencing screen freezes and graphic anomalies (all in the lower 4 TVs while in game).
Some interesting facts:
1) Turn of bump-mapping and the games runs smoothly apart from the above issues
2) Leave other 4 genohunters in one place and since they are not moving the bottom TVs dont have the graphic glitches and the screen does not pause as much
3) Playing at the lowest resolution seemed to help somehow - reducing the amount of glitches (bot not removing them completely)
4) Change from 'Primary' to specific graphics card made no difference
5) Changing the Graphics cards settings (AA, vsync etc..) also made no difference
6) Running in compatibility mode for win95 seemed to help get the game started in the first place.. but makes no difference to the glitches/pauses.
All thoughts and suggestions welcome.
PS yes I have the latest graphics drivers for my GeForce GTX 260M
I'm using Windows 7 x64 too.
Today I bought compilation of three games called "Monster Box" in my local game store. There are uncensored european versions of Giants, Sacrifice and Evolva.
Gians and Evolva works fine while they are unpatched. But after patching I have huge problems with performance and graphic glitches too. Luckily for me Gians can be easily fixed for modern hardware with unofficial fan patch, but there's no unofficial patch for Evolva.
I'm pretty sure these games worked fine on my computer under Vista x64, so problem is most probably somewhere in Windows 7.
BTW: I solved most of graphic glitches in Evolva by setting Extension limit in nVidia drivers on. But huge lags are still a big problem and game is still unplayable. So I must play unpatched version of Evolva for now.
