Might seem like a trivial question but is getting 100% worth it? I am at 92,x% right now and finished the game for the first time and it makes me wonder if there is anything interesting yet to come or is getting the last few % really just a completionist thing?

As long as you've beaten the game, not really. The 100% comes from collecting cards and getting the achievements, so you're not missing out on anything.
