Sigh. I was looking forward to playing this, but of course the gremlins of a new game launch ruined those hopes.

I'm on a Mac, OSX 10.7.5, iMac 12,2 with 8 gb of ram, yadda yadda. Basically, my computer is to spec. When I download the game, it installs fine to applications. I try to launch the game, a window appears with the dev's logo, then the entire screen goes black with the attached error message in the top left hand corner.

Things I've tried:
Submitting a bug report to GOG (won't let me enter my system information, can't submit the ticket)
Reinstalling
Redownloading
The terminal command in the FAQ

Any suggestions?

Just wanted to post an update with the new patch--still crashing, the new and improved error message is attached.

Please send that error message to our Support department along with any relevant hardware info. We'll see what we can do about getting you up and runing. Thanks :D

I will try to when I get home; unfortunately whenever I've tried on my Mac at work I can't upload anything or submit the ticket.
Has there been a fix for this? I'm having the exact same issue. I'm assuming it has something to do with trying to start in 2560x1440 fullscreen mode which the game doesn't seem to support and I have no idea where any configs are for the game to force it to start in a lower windowed resolution or something.

Edit: Nevermind. After searching around for awhile I eventually found a solution. For anyone else having this issue enable hardware acceleration in your flash settings and it should actually run, though it's laggy as hell for seemingly no reason meaning I get hit by enemies quite often due to this really pleasant effect where you'll be going along and suddenly the game will speed up quite a lot just for long enough for you to be hit by an enemy you weren't expecting to speed up. Also apparently watch out for glitchy traps that respawn you near the start of a dungeon you've been exploring for 15 minutes.

I managed to play the game with 2560x1440 resolution after I turned on hardware acceleration.

Here is the website the game should send you if it wouldn't crash with such a high resolution (it would tell you in the main menu with a 1080p resolution). just open it in FF or IE and follow the instructions (doesn't work with Chrome).

If you think the game is lagging, keep in mind that you'll get "smooth movement" after less than half an hour. As every informed customer should know, the games "thing" is that it goes through the evolution of RPGs. So it starts in the first Pokemon kind or era where the movement wasn't smooth but rather like with chess. You get off that stuff pretty quickly and you also don't have to fight as many enemies before you get there. Also, the AI is quite bad at first (maybe you unlock something better later) and always goes a certain part. Just stand somewhere and wait for the enemy to come at you. It's literally only 5-10 enemies you've got to kill before you can actually fight properly with proper movement.
