when I click NEW ISLAND, i get the message that my minions will move everything, etc... I click ok, and nothing happens. the minions carry on as normal. why can't I move to island 2?

Did you move your Genius to the dock? You have to do that yourself, BUT BE CAREFUL because every enemy agent on the island will come after you.

BTW, when I started playing this game last month I asked pretty much every question you are asking. :P Unfortunately I did it in PM so it's no help to anyone else.

yes, let me tell you a bit about myself... I already know how to play this game as I bought it years ago when it was released for PC, I have completed it a few times... but only recently got the Mac version from GOG to play. the minions are supposed to all run to the dock when you click the NEW ISLAND button, but in this case they are just carrying on as if nothing happened as if I hadn't clicked the button at all, and also the button disappears after clicking it. this makes it impossible to move to island 2. my game is stuck until this bug is solved!!

Do you still have loot on the island? They should start moving the loot, AFAIR they won't leave until all the loot from your base has been loaded onto your boat/chopper.

Otherwise it sounds like a bug - you might want to restore a previous save and try the button again. Personally I only move my EG to the dock once all the loot is gone, as one time I somehow lost an item in the transfer.
