What kind of doomsday devices/scenarios are you hoping for in EG2?

I’m really hoping for a doomsday rocket/bomb to blow up the world. It definitely would be the best ending for Red Ivan as an Evil Genius seeing as he was known to destroy bases with a rocket launcher, no matter the consequence.

Also, I would love to see another John Steele rocket peri ending. Or perhaps an alternate ending, basically where you launch your doomsday device with low minion-loyalty causing your henchmen to mutiny and strap the Evil Genius to the rocket.
Is this even going to be coming to gog, or will they overlook us here like several others?
Genetically-engineered super-virus? ;)

On an unrelated note, I'm going to be disappointed if one of the missions in the game doesn't involve hijacking a jet liner and landing it in your base. Ideally it'd be a "high tech" Jetliner, so it'd be a trophy and a potential for research.

But what I really, really want from EG2, apart from coming to GOG of course, is that they don't mess it up. The original had its share of problems for sure, but most of those could be solved via minor modding (text editing), and most of the rest were actually not issues at all but people not understanding the game (e.g. minions aren't supposed to be directly controllable - which is why henchmen can get a bunch of them to follow them, and more importantly that's why cameras and speakers exist).

One thing I really hope they fix is the way the alerts work. Orange alert always seemed too half-assed, since the minions casually walk over to arm themselves (by which time the threat may have passed or been dealt with already); yet red alert has minions kill EVERYTHING for some stupid reason, which makes red alert practically useless except just before the end of a level (unless you don't care about murdering tourists, or scientists stopping their work to slap around some fat tourist kid).

I am pretty sure if it doesn't turn out to be a cash grab, it is going to fall short of the first game.

Yeah that's my current expectation - based not so much on EG2 itself as the general trend these past few years. Remakes and long-awaited sequels are everywhere, and so far they have all fallen short of expectations (and that's being generous).
