To reproduce: 1. use Energized Boost (with Compressor mode); 2. turn off inertia dampeners; 3. shortly before impact, turn on inertia dampeners; 4. shortly before impact, start turning the ship. Repeatability: unknown, but noticed this happening several times.

P.S. Ugh! https://youtu.be/F_l6T-lnbxY?t=24
I'll see if I can reproduce. I assume it is specific to the level geometry. Observed something similar with collision sounds not playing. At least it's nothing that is to the players disadvantage.

I had this happen in all kinds of location and geometry, and i grew comfortable enough with being able to do it "on demand" to record it in 1st try. No idea if both dampeners enabling and turning required - perhaps just one is enough.

Having no interest in such exploits, did not investigate further; but i suspect this can potentially be massively exploited to ram enemies with no consequences, especially with certain corrosion mod.

P.S. The reason i discovered it repeatedly is quite fun: few days ago i changed my controls for vertical strafes, forward and backward thrusters, and ended up hitting all sorts of stuff unintentionally. I think i wouldn't ever discover this one otherwise - and i think that's why pretty nobody else did. But if exploitable, sooner or later would become common knowledge...
