In Settings from the main welcome window it says that I am in third person gameplay. This is incorrect, as my in-game settings show in cockpit. The two are not connected.

Please note there a two menues that look very similar
(1) 'main menu' (start up of the game and after clicking 'back to main menu'
(2) 'pause menu' (hit p while playing)

can you please confirm that we are talking about (1)?
If so, the oberserved behaviour is intended, since it's bascially the setting that will be used when starting a new game.
