I tried playing the game using my PS5 controller connected via USB and Bluetooth. Neither of those allowed me to do anything in the game. The controll icons on screen do not even change.
The only time I can do anything is when the main screen displays "Press any button" after that nothing.
I tried if it maybe Steam was interfering, but when steam is running not even the "any button" dialogue registers a button being pressed.
I also updated to the latest controller firmware but it did not change the situation.
I would greatly appreciate any further hints on what to try to get the controller working.

I'm having the same issue. There doesn't seem to be native DS5 support.

Google of course has no solutions and is utterly useless, as usual. Steam is obviously relying on its baked in controller support which GoG simply doesn't have (ahem).

Same here. Using GOG Galaxy 2.0.X, the game doesn't recognize my PS5 controller when I connect straight up -- using no 3rd party apps -- to my PC with the usb cord or bluetooth. It also won't work using the HidHide method or when I use DualSense X, which usually makes (almost)any game recognize my controller just fine.

I mean, is this just because there's a lack of support(read: respect) for the gamers who bought it through GOG instead of steam, or what?

Have this too with a logitech gamepad.

The game doesn't recognize its input at all, even with gamepad override.
