I just started this game and have a few questions.

I picked up nanobots which the AI said are used for repair...but for the life of me I could not find a key to use one.
I harvested enough resources that the game informed me I had unlocked crafting...where is the crafting menu?

you may have figured this out by now
but in the (Tab) menu
switch to the repair section and on the right side there's a list of your ships main systems
if the system is fine the box will say ok
otherwise you can click on it to repair the system if you have the required resources

hull (top item) just needs nanobots
(how much each nanobot heals is determined by your nanobot efficiency Perk)
