Just been on a node with an overheat danger area and a Okkar frigate blocking my jump drive, and it was marked as "yellow" difficulty on Sector 6.

It didn't feel like a yellow node at all, maybe if those factors were separated then it could have been considered such but not with those combined.
Fighting an Okkar frigate is a thing, dealing with overheating is also a thing, but fighting an Okkar frigate with your ship slowly falling apart is a completely different thing and i don't think it should be marked as "yellow" when i can deal with an Okkar corvette, an Outlaw bomber squadron, and black hole danger all at once in a node marked "red"

I don't know how the "danger level" is calculated in this game but a node like the one mentioned above shouldn't be marked "yellow" when there are much less problematic ones marked as "red".

I had this too; couldn't see a bloody thing against that sun and then when your systems go .... This along with a multitude of other equally annoying things you can't do anything about so you just have to commit suicide really wreck the game because you can't really do anything unless you get very lucky. Let's hope the developers look at the hazards as some of them just wipe you out. P.S. Nice to know someone can deal with a bomber squadron: getting missle spammed was impossible for me.

The 'danger level' is calculated (I think) on the chance of enemies jumping into the sector while you're there, not what's there already. In an 'easy' sector, enemies will rarely jump in, but in 'hard' sectors, enemies will jump in continuously to keep you on your feet. Consequently, 'easy' sectors can have natural hazards or corvettes, but fewer enemies will come to their aid.

You can upgrade your sector scanners to find natural hazards. As you progress there are more likely to be corvettes/frigates/interceptors in sectors to start with.
