A single Arc 9000 will kill a Corvette, so pick those up and get extra missile slots for later sectors when you don't need your missiles anymore.

I've beaten it twice, and I'm currently on my 23rd run. It's great.

The biggest tip I have is to get the G&B to fight for you.

They'll go after outlaws, but if you want them to fight the Okkars, dance in front of a fuel tank and get it blown up... you'll get some G&B allies right away.

viola128241: Does it pay off to try and move to new sectors as fast as possible?

rhr1987: Not really, every sector is in terms of enemies slightly more harder then the one before.

Try to understand why you die and adapt.
The game has a lot of RNG, but also a few fixed rules, that i found so far.

One of these rules is, that after destroying the first interceptors, there will always be the big warship a few seconds behind them, after they got killed. So these guys are a clear statement, that it is time to leave. (Unless you are really strong)

Another rule is, that container will hold credits in the first sector, as long as you are below 2.000$. At least it seemed a rule for me, since the income was always drastically falling from containers, after reaching that point.

Third Rule: Use your thrusters. The AI is good, but still needs a few seconds to adapt to a new movement, so use your thrusters and become unpredictible
So it's a good idea to stick around in a sector until the interceptors show up and maybe little afterwards. It's probably a good idea to leave only after and try and collect as much loot as possible in the meantime.
Man, just blown up a Corvette Mk2 1 vs 1 in my last run. It's SO satifying, doesn't matter what the loot was. Nothing relevant.

I know Elite versions exists because... I ran away from two of them before, but damn, they are rare.

I only found one Elite corvette... by a wormhole. I sat as long as I could before Interceptors arrived, hoping it would get sucked in for delicious footage, but no :(. I defeated mine 1v1 on run 7 with a drone override and a full stack of Railgun with three velocity upgrades and small missiles, but without that override, I'd have been smashed.

Looking forward to balancing my ship out with more runs so I can take it on more 'legit' without the drone override.

Does anyone know if you can use the interfacing module or whatever its called and get the Corvette to fight for you temporarily? Would be interesting haha.
I've tried. It doesn't work. You can't even do it to G&B units either so the usage is limited.

Met a Okkar Frigate for the first time. I used two Arc 9000 and it wouldn't die, so I have no idea if I'm not suppose to kill it... the thing also had a Jump Jammer, but I couldn't even find it... so had to pop a Jump Stablizer...

WIth regards to the Drone Override, I think that's what they're for. I've killed 20 shield drones and they just keep coming. The Elite versions have so much shield more and they summon 6-8 shield drones. It's pretty insane if you don't take them over.
I got to sector 3 and got wasted by a cool asteroid pirate base thing. I'm loving this game but have a slightly low spec machine so when the display gets busy, the action gets a little unpredictable. Wish I could lower the graphics a bit more to smooth out gameplay.

Plus, foolishly, I'm playing with a mousepad! That makes aiming a bit wonky to say the least.

Still think this game rocks though.

Okkar figate are super tough. I've managed to kill one but unlucky for me another one had warped in before I could get out and then the interceptor warships arrived... oh god xD Had to pop a jump stabilizer just like you.
Thing about okkar frigate is that they have several "strongpoints" you'll have to focus and destroy. When you destroy for example the right engine you'll see a decrease in HP right away. This means you have to circle the ship quite some times to find those points. You can also destroy it's cannons but I think it's a waste of time, but that depends of course.

My suggestion would be to pop a Arc 9000 at it back (engines). That way you can destroy 3 points right away. The other points are at it's top and sides. Use missiles and cloak+mines. Good thing this monster of a ship doesn't have shields :P
The loot is HUGE when you kill it. I managed to get 3 blueprints and a crapload of credits but then I had to run away (cloak) from the warships. Very satisfying ship to kill!
I agree with the satisfaction... I just killed one and boy, it's an epic fight.

I even recorded it...
Yeah i got to sector 3 but i keep getting sucked into the black hole. xD
I just love this game though.
The creators did what No Man's Sky didnt just without planets.
Speaking of planets it would be cool if they would add planets
Sector 6 on 20th attempt, got 20k of credits and destroyed my first corvette during that run. I have no idea whether it's good, but the game is brilliant. I'm not huge fan of space games. However Everspace mixes different bits so nicely I just feel an urge to keep playing. 6DoF and procedurally generated maps make a great illusion of freedom and interceptors with warships create tension. Nice blend!
I've done it!

Went through 6 sectors and then huge map with 4 cores to find. And the ending is kinda like NMS: you open the door to another galaxy but it ends there. Kinda disappointed with lack of the end boss though...

My advice - invest in CLOAK. It would be impossible to finish that run without it.
finished the game and went throught the sector 7 portal to white space. it took me 30 runs to do it. i'm near 70 with reduced vision but i had a plan in mind. get as many credits per kia to buy as many perks as possible ignoring most resources except nanobots, which you need for hull repair. after about 20 runs i switched to going for mostly resources with occasional credits. you need the resources to go all the way. the 20 runs taught me which systems to stay away from and how to kill the enemy. sector 7 is fairly easy with enough resources. i found a kind of trick to reduce getting all 4 ar cores much easier. carefully fire one arc-9000 lightning ball down each of the two 'tunnels' which lead to cores. the missile drones and shield generators in each tunnel are almost all eliminated. i've only ever had to deal with one surviving shield generator. be sure to stay outside the tunnels when firing and turn you ship away before the explosions happen. i finished the game a second time just to torture myself.
i forgot to add this. if you do try to fire an arc-9000 ball into a 'tunnel' make sure you fire into the open end of the tunnel. the open end is easy to spot. it has accessible shield generators. the other end of the tunnel can't be cracked from the outside in my experience.
I got to sector 5.
I nearly finished the elite fregattes but always get fragged shortly beforehand ... bummer.
Also what about that alien life forms, that sucks out your integrity (aka. health) if you attack it? I tried different weapons and means to shake it off, but at no gain ... only jumping out of the system helped (no teleport ...)
I've finished the game, sector 7.
It was a surprise, a good one, because I thought it doesn't have a end in this phase of the development.
I love this game and the sense of freedom in space.
