Whens starting the game the Oculus + Steam VR software starts up, headset just shows darkness but grabs the audio output. Any way i can fully disable vr till that side of things is sorted?

Nothing in the options menu pertains to vr.

Found a work around. Disable 'Oculus VR Runtime Service' service.
