I'm having trouble running EU2 it won't run on my HP laptop. I recently purchased the game and neither EU2 nor For The Glory run how do I fix this issue?

With the classic Abort, Retry, Ignore options.
Ultimately leads to "runtime error" message on the eu2.exe file.
"abnormal program termination"

It just shuts down and I tried everything I could find on these forums to fix this issue but I don't know what else to do.

I bought this game and I would really like to play it. Can anyone help me please?

For instance, if your laptop has two different graphic cards, you could try switching between the integrated and the dedicated one.

I only have one graphics card. I've tried different compatibility settings, I've updated, I don't know what else to do to solve this. Any help would be appreciated.
