Is it just me or does edge scrolling zoom anyone else way across the map when using the mouse? I am using a VM to play the game and it zooms less with Integrated Mouse turned off but its still very sensitive.

Yes, it's way too sensitive. I think making a habit of using the arrow keys to scroll instead is the only alternative. Though it's still easy to run the cursor along the edge by accident and go flying across the world.

Same here I use the arrow keys but so easy to just clip the edge of the screen sadly.
