so, i played el2 way back when it first came out...i still have the disks. is there any reason to use the gog version (or the steam version) over just installing from disk? will i be able to connect to the servers or are they separate? is there just one el2 server for all releases, like do the steam versions play the gog versions?

im confused lol...sorry if this is a dumb question and thnx for any help..
Don't know about the servers, but the main advantage in using the gog version is: No copy protection!
EL2 uses the starforce copy protection which can be a pain in the ass.
About multiplayer... master servers are down, so only direct connections, if this still works. Other than that... there is a chance Etherlords from GOG are made to work on modern PCs, but if your version works fine for you, then I think you don't have to buy it. :)
