I guess this isn't exactly what they had in mind w/ the help me section but damnit I'm sour about this. So i got through the Chaot champaign on hard (spending the whole thing moaning and groaning about how crappy it was at super low levels, being mostly dumb luck) but now it pushed me into the Kinet campaign.
I did the moaning, and groaning and the dumb luck factor still seems to somewhat be there, but having gotten to the pteros fight, i cannot even fathom how it is possible to get lucky and win this thing.
I'm an experienced MtG player who is far more accustomed to making do w/ scraps than your average player, but ALL the 'cards' so to speak are stacked against you in this fight, he gets the larger creatures, cheap blockers, and a tap ability to disple 90% of your deck up until this point, you cant get in to race him, and you can accel fast enough to trade profitably on defense, when he runs out of cards he even has 2x -0/-2 global enchants that decimate any hope you have of profit blocking, you can't disenchant it mid combat so you are basically stuck taking the hits that round, and to top it off, you only have one disenchant to his 2 copies of the spell.
I never ventured south in the boat, so i might have missed some xp/cards that might turn this, i'll go check that out now. But i never even used any artifacts in the chaot campaign, but not even a free 3/3 flyer is enough to turn the tides of this one.
tl:dr - I'm sour, did they ever even test this? is the Pteros fight on the first level of the Kinet campaign even possible on hard?
EDIT - As usual complaining made me feel better, but in the end, i missed a fight, which bumped me to level 3 giving me the needed tools to squeek by -_- le sigh, oh well
