I don't like the idea of a "Deluxe" edition, that contains extras which are standard with other GOG releases. Maybe I'm just "GOG spoiled", but I don't like this idea. It opens the path to future games to change more to be able to have the extras. One thing I like about GOG is the tons of extras that come with some games.

Am I wrong? Any comments?

Well yeah: Dont buy it.

That discussion was made. And a guy said the right things:

People will always complain. About having to buy Deluxe Edition, about having no Deluxe Edition and always about anything. You can never do it right for all out there.
If GOG would not offer this game for the reasons you say: "DELUXE? EXTRA?" people would have yelled: "Where´s the bloody game?"

So take it or leave it.

I agree with you. But it was to be expected when Good OLD Games became gog and started offering new games too. They did right by us (and still do) with the older games because they were able to negotiate those deals to offer older games.

It's a hard pill to swallow being that the new games usually cost so much more than the older ones and don't include the goodies, but we have to try to separate the old vs. the new on gog.

If you're like me, you have a ton of other stuff you can play while you wait for a sale.

To that end, has anyone bought the deluxe edition? I'd like to know how the soundtrack is.

The Base game without art content costs $19.99
The Deluxe Edition Upgrade costs $14.99
Sums: $34.98

People can buy the deluxe edition with artwork and if you do not care about soundtracks, you can buy it without any additional content for less money.

I don't see the problem.
