I've just installed Ether One along with patch 2.0.2.4. When I start the game, it is rendered in 3D (blue and red shadow images). Is this how it should look? I have a Windows 7 system which meets all the minimum requirements.

I have also noticed that the save game option is unavailable. I've searched google and haven't found anything that helps with this, so any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

At the beginning of the game save option is unavailable, but only in the tutorial section.

About graphics - can you make an ingame screenshot?

I tried a screen shot, but it comes up as a black image. I'm looking for another way to grab an image.

I haven't gotten past the tutorial, so that explains that much at least. Thanks.
I just inadvertently found a workaround for this - after starting the game (which came up as the blurry red / blue 3D-type image), I hit ctrl-alt-delete to start task manager so I could look at something else. This stopped and minimized Ether One. When I clicked on the Ether One icon to bring it back to full-screen, it opened up and was then rendered correctly.

I don't know what's going on, but I can live with this fairly simple workaround for now. zeffyr - thank you for your quick response.
