Hi, just in case anyone else runs into this. When I set it to DirectX the walking movement is slow. Changing it to OpenGL the walking speeds up to a much better pace.

Moving Along:
So far I am enjoying the game, only about 2 hours in, it has a nice adventure feel to it. : )

God, thank you for this tip! That was my single biggest gripe in my first play session. It is now much more bearable (which simply means that I'll have to find other things to gripe about =P ).
