Hoi People, need some help,

installed the game, liked it and played it with severel diverent classes but then ....

I wanted to quicksave and then this.

ERROR SAVE DELDIR

Then it went worse: All my saveslots got bad and the game crashes down when I want to restore a saved game.

Quite frustrating ... but I already accepted that I lost several hours of playing the story and a fine cleric character.

But what infuriates me is that now it is impossible to save at all !


Uninstall - Reinstall - but same $4!tß ... same problem > saving still impossible

I use Win10 and GOG galaxy.


Please, does anybody have an idea to how to fix that problem?

Run as admin is worth a try. A lot of games mess up saves without this applied.

I had the same problem. Deleting the saves folder (Eschalon Book 1 Saved Games) in /username/documents allowed me to create new sve files. Since then I had no problems and I have played a lot in the last week.
I don't use Win 10 so the path might be a bit different.

Update: it happened to me again. While quicksaving I got an error-message and all the savegames were gone from the menu.
If this happens, don't panic, just ALT TAB out of the game (you can keep it running), open the savegame directory, make a copy of one of the existing SLOT# directories and rename it to the missing one. Quicksave is slot1. Now you can go back to the game and save again.
