I had some thought of what could be at the ending or Eschalon BK 2 but when the alien showed up I at first thought is was a joke (or Easter Egg). Maybe there was some clue within Books 1 and 2 and I just missed them or didn't pickup on it. My jaw just dropped and I just started laughing at the curve-ball. When Bk 3 is out I hope I don't start back at level 1 again. It just seems like a step back instead of forwards. Hope it takes a page from Baldur's Gate 2 and allow you to continue building your character.
