So I am on level 3 of Hammerlorne. In the west part is a teleporter that sends you back to level 1. Just below the teleporter is a locked door with a lever on the far side. Not being a rogue with lockpicking skill, how do I open this door?

I've got a horrible memory, but I seem to recall in this game you can throw a weapon (or use an attack spell) to switch the lever?...

I finally had to blow up a couple of barrels next to this door to get through :)
